September 22 daytime update

• 6:40AM - Maureen is sleeping.

• 6:59AM - Maureen is beginning to stir.

• 7:25AM - Maureen is now awake. I sat with her until 7:55AM. Gave her a few sips of water via a mouth swab,.

• 7:55AM - Maureen feel back asleep.

• 8:35AM - No change. Maureen is still sleeping.

• 8:47AM - Maureen is starting to stir. We will get her going shortly .

• Maureen began her day @ 8:50AM. She is alert and engaged. Nasal congestion is not bad this morning. The diaper was medium wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Djon and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

• 9:20AM - Djon administered a dose of Flonase into each of Maureen's nostrils.

• Breakfast service began @ 9:20AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen was tilting somewhat to the left. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Djon and I use each day.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• Maureen will consume 8 ounces of prune juice.

• Today's Puree Report - Djon pureed the oatmeal for breakfast. He smashed up the banana into a fine puree with a fork.

• General observations @ 9:45AM> The morning went well in every key respect. We continue to be in a good way right now. There was only one cough during breakfast. Let's hope the remainder of the day goes as well.

• 9:50AM - Morning oral care routine

• 9:55AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's general comfort and to reduce pressure on her back.

• 10:00AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hands.

• 10:50AM - Djon and I went back and forth for quite some time on whether or not to take Maureen out today. The sun is out and the ground temperature is not horrible; however, there is a 13MPH wind blowing out of the north. The real feel temperature is just 57 degrees. We decided not to go out. Tom and Djon might be able to get Maureen this afternoon.

• 11:28AM - We transported Maureen to the bedroom in advance of Rest Break #1. The diaper was medium wet. Djon and I cleaned, changed and placed Maureen on her right side.

• 11:40AM - Rest Break #1 begins.
