8:00AM - I just arrived at the house. Maureen is still sleeping. Tom informed me that Maureen has had a very quiet morning so far—very little if any coughing.
8:17AM - I noted Maureen was thrashing her legs on the monitor and went deon to the bedroom to check on her. She id awake. As with yesterday, she is exhibiting very slight seizure warning signs including slightly clenched hands, occasional mouth twitch, not blinking normally, unwilling to take water from the swab and general unresponsiveness to verbal cues. I will sit with her from this point forward.
8;43AM - All of the symptoms, slight as they were, have now disappeared. Maureen is now completely normal again. She has taken a few sips of water and has begun to respond to verbal cues.
Maureen began her day @ 9:10AM. She is alert and engaged. Nasal congestion is only slightly obvious today. The diaper is dry. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Tom and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.
Breakfast service began @ 9:48AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is tilting slightly to the left. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Tom and I use each day.
Daily MiraLAX dosage: None
We did give Maureen 4 ounces of prune juice.
General observations @ 10:25AM> We got off to a good start today. Maureen had good energy. She was engaged and communicative. Eyes were wide open throughout the breakfast service. Chewing and swallowing was very good—only five coughs. We have had to use the suction machine only once since getting Maureen up today.
10:41AM - Morning oral care regimen
10:55AM - Tom administered a dose of Flonase into each nostril.
11:00AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to reduce the pressure level on her sacrum. As soon as we did, Maureen began to fall asleep. She nods off from time to time.
12:07PM - Organic fruit smoothie. Maureen handled it quite well—even though she was somewhat sleepy when Tom started giving it to her. She coughed only once.
12:32PM - We headed to the bedroom in advance of Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a slight amount of fecal discharge. After completing a clean & change, Tom and I placed Maureen on her right side.
We examined the pressure ulcer on Maureen's sacrum. The wound looks to be no better or worse than yesterday. It is about the same in terms of size and color. See attached image. Tom applied a new layer of 3M Cavilon Barrier Film to the area.

12:51PM - Rest Break #1 begins.
2:25PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is light wet. Maureen also had a very small formed bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed Maureen. We then transported her to the kitchen for lunch.
2:44PM - Lunch | Tom prepared a serving of tuna salad, 1/2 a bowl of pureed chicken tortilla soup and a serving of potato salad. Maureen will drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during the lunch service.
3:25PM - Afternoon oral care
General observations @ 3:36PM> Lunch went extremely well. Chewing and swallowing were perfect—both for solids and liquids. Maureen coughed only once. She was a bundle of energy all afternoon—eyes wide open, chatty, energetic, engaged and very interactive. It was so good to see.
