May 5 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is sleeping.

• 7:00AM - Maureen wakes up. Her diaper is wet. We will give her sips of water periodically from now until Maureen starts her day as long as she remains fully awake.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:00AM. She is little groggy/slow this morning. He extremities are very relaxed. Congestion is heavy. The diaper is medium wet. • Breakfast service began @ 8:45AM . Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is listing a bit to the left. We used the two wedge pillows to straighten her posture. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Maya and I use each day.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• General observations @ 9:37AM> Maureen has low energy this morning. She is somewhat sleepy. Eyes have been partially closed for most of breakfast service. Engagement, responsiveness and communication are less than what we are normally accustomed to seeing. Coughing to this point in the day has been infrequent—only two.

• 9:45AM - Morning oral care routine

• 9:52AM - We tiled the geri chair back one level for Maureen's general comfort and to relieve the stress/pressure on her lower back.

• 9:57AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

• 10:03AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hands

• 10:39AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• THAT'S NEW> Not long after finishing her smoothie, Maureen sneezed 5-6 times in a range of approximately 5-7 minutes. Most of the sneezes caused her to cough as well. Maya and I have never seen anything like this.

• 11:03AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I completed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her right side.

• 11:17AM - Rest Break #1 begins

• THAT'S NEW> While performing the clean & change, I noted that the lump/bump on the outside of Maureen's right knee has gotten smaller.

• 12:30PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper is light wet. We completed a clean & change. Once completed, we headed to the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:47PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a turkey and melted Swiss cheese sandwich, 1/2 a bowl of homemade vegetable soup and serving of beets. Maureen will drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen enjoyed the last chocolate chip cookie made by her neighbor Susan along with a small glass of milk.

• General observations @ 1:16PM> Since getting settled at the table for lunch, Maureen continues to exhibit signs of heavy congestion. She coughed/sneezed several times in short succession. Maureen has nodded off on several occasions.

• General observation @ 1:50PM> As of the writing of this update, Maureen has sneezed 10 times today.

• 1:58PM - Afternoon oral care

• We elected not to take Maureen to the bedroom for Rest Break #2. She experienced a burst of energy after lunch. Rest Break #1 also last for 80 minutes. In lieu of Rest Break #2, we tilted the geri chair back one level at approximately 2:15PM.

• General observation @ 2:45PM> Maureen continues to be very congested. The congestion is most likely causing an material uptick in coughs. It is obvious that she is breathing through her mouth.

• 2:50PM - We headed to the bedroom for a clean & change. Diaper was heavy wet. upon completion, we headed to the front room for fruit and Drew.

• 3:15PM - Afternoon fruit snack
