  • 6:30AM - Maureen is sleeping.

  • 7:15AM - No change. Maureen continues to sleep.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:15AM. She is in good form. Congestion is minimal. We will administer a dose of Flonase during the breakfast session. No nebulizer saline solution treatment is necessary. The diaper is light wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Maya and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • Since Maureen has not had a BM in two days, we gave her an two more ounces of prune juice.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:43AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is sitting almost perfectly upright with the assistance of the two green wedge pillows. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Maya and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • 9:19AM - Maureen began to tilt to the left in a more pronounced fashion. We inserted Magic Mike on her left side to make her posture more upright.

  • General observations @ 9:21AM> The morning went reasonably well. Maureen was a bit lethargic during the breakfast service. Energy was lower than we would like to see. As a result, engagement, responsiveness and communication were on the low side. She nodded off on a few occasions for a brief moment. Coughing was almost nonexistent—only 1 during breakfast.

  • 9:35AM - Morning oral care routine.

  • 9:42AM - We tilted the geri chair back one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress/pressure from her back.

  • 9:47AM - Morning facial treatment including hands and arms.

  • 10:05AM - Hand, arm, shoulder and leg exercises.

  • 10:30AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 11:00AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. As we were wrapping up the clean & change process, Maureen urinated on the pad. We repeated the clean & change process and then placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:17AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 12:26PM - Rest Break #1 ends. The diaper was light wet. After we completed the clean & change and were in the process of dressing Maureen, she had a large formed bowel movement. Maya and I repeated the clean & change process. Upon completion, we headed to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:58PM - Lunch | 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread, 1/2 a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a serving of sliced tomato. Maureen will also consume a 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen will enjoy a small serving of rice pudding.

  • General observations @ 1:30PM> Lunch went somewhat well. Maureen was alert and engaged. Energy was sufficient. She did cough seven times and sneezed once. Maya and I both observed Maureen is more congested now than during the breakfast service. The increased congestion may very well have caused the coughing.

  • 1:42PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:10PM - It was off to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I completed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her left side.

  • 2:22PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

  • 3:10PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. Maya and I cleaned and dressed Maureen. We transported Maureen to the front room for the remainder of the day.

  • 3:25PM - Fruit snack
