  • 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. Maya will give her sips of water periodically from a mouth swab—a sling as she remains fully awake.

  • 7:00AM - Maureen remains awake.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:00AM. She is alert and engaged this morning. Congestion is heavy. We have already decided to administer the nebulizer treatment. The diaper is medium wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Maya and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • 8:32AM - Nebulizer treatment

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:50AM. Posture in the geri chair is good. Maureen is tilting a bit to the left. We used the two wedge pillows to straighten her posture. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Maya and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 9:20AM> Breakfast is almost complete. Maureen coughed only once. We are not at a point where we can make any sweeping conclusions. That being said, the nebulizer treatment we administered had a positive material effect—especially on what portends to be a very hot and humid day. When we walked into Maureen's room this morning, the temperature was 76 degrees and the humidity was 63 percent. Much to my amazement, she had both blankets on her.

  • 9:32AM - Morning oral care

  • 9:40AM - Morning facial including arms and hands

  • 9:55AM - Hand, arm, shoulder and leg exercises

  • 10:38AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 10:57AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Upon completion of a clean & change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:10AM - Rest Break #1 begins

  • 12:18PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper is light wet.

  • 12:37PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread, 1/2 a bowl of homemade onion and chicken soup, 1/4 of a tomato sliced and a small serving of cabbage crunch. Maureen will consume one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen enjoyed two chocolate covered strawberries cut up into small pieces by Maya.

  • General observations @ 1:09PM> Lunch went down pretty well. Maureen coughed only three times. She does appear a bit more congested. Overall, it still appears as if the nebulizer treatment worked well. We are allowed to give her a nebulizer treatment every four hours.

  • 1:25PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:03PM - We headed to the bedroom in advance of Rest Break #2. Diaper was median wet. Upon completion of a clean and change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:13PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

  • 3:08PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper is light wet. Upon completion of a clean & change, we transported Maureen to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:25PM - Afternoon fruit snack.
