June 20 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. She is stirring lightly—coughing a few times.

• 6:40AM - I gave Maureen some sips of water from a pink mouth swab. She is somewhat heavily congested.

• 7:30AM - We will continue to give her water periodically until she gets up.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:00AM. She is in good form. Congestion is fairly substantial this morning. The diaper is light wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Djon and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:34AM. Posture in the geri chair is good. Maureen is listing a bit to the left and forward. We used the two green wedge pillows to and Magic Mike to straighten her posture. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Djon and I use each day.

• 8:43AM - Maureen has only had two bowel movements in the last 4.75 days. Carolyn directed us to give her 6 ounces of prune juice and 1/2 a cap of MiraLAX this morning.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

• 9:25AM - Morning oral care routine

• 9:34AM - Djon and I tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress and preurre fro h

• 9:36AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

• General observations @ 9:43AM> Breakfast was a bit rough this morning. Maureen was heavily congested. Consequently, she coughed 11 times and sneezed five times during the breakfast service. Energy, communication and responsiveness are all satisfactory. Maureen is a bit sleepy.

• 9:47AM - Does of Flonase in each nostril

• 9:49AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hand

• 10:28AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• 11:01AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a very small formed bowel movements. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I placed Maureen on her right side.

• 11:14AM - Rest Break #1 begins

• 12:15PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. Djon and I cleaned and changed Maureen. We then headed to the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:36PM - Lunch | Djon prepared 1/2 an egg salad on toasted whole grain bread, 1/2 a bowl of chicken and pea soup and a medley of grilled squash and portobello mushrooms. Maureen will consume one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during lunch.

• 1:41PM - Afternoon oral care routine

• General observations @ 1:42PM> Lunch went well for the most part. Maureen was alert and engaged. Chewing and swallowing were acceptable. She did cough five times. Posture in the geri chair was a challenge. Maureen was tilted to the left and forward somewhat. As the lunch service wrapped up, she got increasingly lethargic and uncommunicative.

• 1:46PM - We tilted the geri chair back one level because Maureen was leaning in a somewhat pronounced fashion to the left and forward.

• 2:00PM - We headed to the bedroom in advance of Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a very small soft bowel movement. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I placed Maureen on her left side.

• 2:14PM - Rest Break #2 begins

• 3:24PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I transported Maureen to the from room for the remainder of the day.

• 3:40PM - Afternoon fruit snack
