June 2 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen has been going in and out of sleep.

• 6:45AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is now wet.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is in good spirits. Congestion is somewhat evident. We will administer a dose of Flonase during the breakfast session. No nebulizer saline solution treatment is necessary. The diaper is medium wet. Maureen also had a very small soft bowel movement. • Breakfast service began @ 8:37AM. Posture in the geri chair is less than optimal. Maureen was tilting very hard to the right this morning—odd since she spent the last two hours on her right side. We used the two green wedge pillows to straighten her posture. Maureen's head was also tilting backwards. We placed the red couch pillow behind her head. • Since Maureen has not had a normal BM in 1.5 days, we gave her two additional ounces of prune juice.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• General observations @ 9:28AM> Breakfast proceeded fairly well. Maureen's energy, engagement and communication were less than normal. She nodded off a few times during the breakfast service. Congestion is a bit greater than yesterday. Chewing and swallowing were good. Coughing was almost nonexistent—only 1.

• 9:30AM - Morning oral care routine

• 9:42AM - We tilted the gerri chair back one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress/pressure off of her back.

• 9:48AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops.

• 9:52AM - Morning facial routine

• 10:01AM - Arm, shoulder and leg exercises

• 10:33AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• 10:58AM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her left side. She spent the second half of the rest break on her back.

• 11:12AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

• 12:08PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. Maureen also had a medium soft bowel movement. After completing a clean & change, we took Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:22PM - Lunch | Carolyn brought Jersey Mikes to the house. Maureen enjoyed 1/2 of a turkey & provolone sub sandwich from Jersey Mikes. She also had some potato chips. Carolyn brought sandwiches from there.

• 1:14PM - Afternoon oral care routine

• 1:58PM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her right side. We chose her right side because Maureen was leaning somewhat heavily to the left in the geri chair during the lunch service.

• 2:11PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

• 3:05PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I cleaned and changed Maureen. Upon completion, we headed to the front room for TPIR and fruit.

• 3:22PM - Fruit snack
