July 14 daytime update

  • 6:40AM - Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 7:24AM - Maureen continues to sleep. She stirs every once in a while.

  • 7:40AM - Maureen is now awake. Djon gave her a few sips of water using a pink mouth swab.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:06AM. She is in good form. Congestion is not too great. The diaper is medium wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Djon and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • 8:33AM - Djon gave Maureen a dose of Flonase in each nostril.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:34AM. Posture in the geri chair is excellent. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Djon and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: No MiraLAX or Senna today due to a loose BM Maureen had yesterday morning.

  • 9:21AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 9:28AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress off of her back.

  • General observations @ 9:30AM> Breakfast went reasonably well. Maureen had good energy. Engagement and responsiveness were both at respectable levels. She handled her food well. Coughing was a bit high - five times.

  • 9:31AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

  • 9:33AM - Morning facial including arms and hands

  • 10:25AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 11:00AM - We prepared to head to the bedroom for Rest Break #1. Diaper was heavy wet. Maureen had a very small formed bowel movement. After completing a clean & change, we set Maureen up on her right side.

  • 11:13AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 12:15PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. Maureen had a small formed bowel movement. Djon and I performed a clean & change. We then headed to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:35PM - Lunch | Maureen enjoyed a small bowl of freshly prepared spaghetti and extra sensitive marinara sauce courtesy of Chef Brian. She also had one small piece of lightly buttered sourdough bread. Maureen drank one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during the lunch service.

  • 1:34PM - Afternoon oral care

  • General observations @ 1:44PM> Lunch went well for the most part. Maureen chewed and swallowed well. Cough volume was about the normal average. She did not nod off at all. Was a bit chatty. Posture in the geri chair was good.

  • 2:01PM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Diaper was heavy wet. After completing a clean & change, we set Maureen up on her left side.

  • 2:11PM - Rest Break #2 .begins.

  • 3:17PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper is heavy wet. Djon and I cleaned and changed Maureen. We then transported her to the front room.

  • 3:35PM - Fruit snack
