  • 7:52AM - I just arrived at the house. Maureen remains asleep.

  • 9:02AM - Maureen continues to sleep soundly.

  • 10:00AM - No change. Maureen is sleeping.

  • 10:04AM - Maureen'e eyes are now open. We are going to very gradually get her day started. Tom is giving her some sips of water via the swab right now.

  • Maureen began her day @ 10:25AM. She is in a bit groggy today. Congestion appears to be somewhat heavy. The diaper is light wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Tom and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • Breakfast service began @ 10:55AM. Posture in the geri chair is decent. Maureen is tilting somewhat heavily to the left and forward. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Tom and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 11:03AM> Energy is somewhat low as breakfast proceeds. Communication/engagement is low. Left eye remains partially swollen/shit—say 30%. Color remains the same—pinkish but not red.

  • General observations @ 11:18AM> Energy is picking up. Maureen is starting to be a bit more engaged and communicative.

  • 11:37AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 11:48AM - Tom administered a dose of Flonase into each nostril.

  • 11:52AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress off of her sacrum.

  • Tom and I decided to skip the organic fruit smoothie due to how far behind schedule we are.

  • 12:48PM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. Tom and I completed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her left side.

  • 1:01PM - Rest Break #1 begins. It will last the full hour.

  • 2:45PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. It was almost two hours. Diaper is the slightest bit wet. We decided to forgo the clean & change. Tom and I got Maureen dressed and then transported her to the kitchen for a late lunch.

  • 3:02PM - Lunch | Tom prepared a 1/2 turkey and Swiss cheese cheese sandwich on toasted whole wheat and 1/2 a bowl of homemade lentil soup. Maureen will consume one 12-[ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut water during lunch.

  • General observations @ 3:27PM> Lunch went well. Maureen had good energy. She ate her entire 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 bowl of soup rather quickly. Coughing was quite minimal—only twice. Engagement and communication were much better than yesterday as well. The left eye looks better. It is approximately 10-15% swollen/closed. We are still trying to get back on schedule.
