  • 6:30AM - Maureen goes in and out of sleep.

  • 6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is dry.

  • 7:05AM - Maureen is now starting to wake.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is in good form. Congestion is heavy. Maya and I went through our normal routine to get Maureen ready for the day. Click/tap here to view it.

  • We took a close look at the red/irritated area on Maureen's posterior. It is less red/irritated this morning. Overall, it by all appearances is healing. See the attached images.

  • Break service commenced at 8:50AM. Posture in geri chair is very good this morning. This is a welcome surprise after yesterday afternoon. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of all the steps of our breakfast routine.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 9:23AM> We once again got off to a quality start this morning. Maureen has a good amount of energy. Engagement, communication and responsiveness are also good. Head and nasal congestion is significant. As of the writing of this update, Maureen has sneezed on several occasions.

  • General observation @ 9:44AM> Maureen's energy is beginning to ebb. She is tilting more and more to the left. As you would expect, engagement, communication and responsiveness are on a downward trend.

  • 9:58AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 10:10AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve pressure on her lower back.

  • 10:12AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops.

  • 10:15AM - Facial including hands and arms

  • 10:31AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 11:00AM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. Maya and I performed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:13AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 12:40PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. We extended it to almost 90 minutes because this is the only one Maureen will get today. Sr. Roberta is coming at approximately 2:30PM. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I performed a clean & change. We then proceeded to the kitchen for lunch.

  • We once again took a long look at the red area/rash on Maureen's posterior. It continues to heal. The entire area is less red. We continue to apply a thin layer of 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream to it.

  • 12:57PM - Lunch | 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 bowl of chicken noodle soup, a serving of cauliflower and a serving of potatoes. Maureen will enjoy one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, she will have a small serving of tapioca pudding.

  • 1:59PM - Afternoon oral care.

  • 3:05PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom for a clean & change. Diaper was medium wet. Immediately afterwards, we headed to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:35PM - Afternoon fruit snack
