  • 7:50AM - Maureen is sleeping. She is starting to stir.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:17AM. She is more chatty and engaged than yesterday. Nasal congestion is almost nonexistent—no Flonase.. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Maya and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:50AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Maya and I use each day.

  • Maureen will consume 8 ounces of prune juice today.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage - None

  • 9:45AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 9:55AM - Morning facial including hands and arms

  • 10:05AM - We reclined the geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve pressure off of her sacrum.

  • General observations @ 10:15AM>The morning was rather low key in every respect. All key attributes including overall energy, engagement and communication were less than we would like them to be. As usual, chewing and swallowing went well—only two coughs during the breakfast service.

  • 11:05AM - We transported Maureen to the be bedroom in advance of Rest Break #1. Diaper was heavy wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:16AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 12:22PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is dry. We dressed Maureen and then headed to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:38PM - Lunch | Maya prepared a serving of finely chopped Chesapeake Bay Shrimp Salad and 1/2 a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup.

  • General observations @ 1:10PM> Maureen's energy picked up somewhat along with her levels of engagement and communication—all pleasant surprises to be sure. There was a lot of coughing activity during the smoothie and lunch— 7 and 7 respectively. The day is trending nicely. Let's hope it continues that way. .

  • 1:22PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:07PM - Maya and I transported Maureen to the bedroom in advance gf Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, we placed Maureen on her left side.
