6:30AM - Maureen is sleeping.
7:00AM - Maureen is now awake. We will give her sips of water via a mouth swab from now until the tie she gets out of bed.
Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is engaged and alert. Congestion is not heavy. The diaper is medium wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Djon and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.
Djon pointed out a dark red line on Maureen's right upper inner thigh. This was caused by the new type of diaper. There is a high likelihood that the new type of diaper was too tight. It might have been fastened too tightly. See the attached image. Djon applied a thin layer of 3M Barrier Cream to this area.

Breakfast service began @ 8:34AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is sitting almost perfectly upright. We used the two green wedge pillows to straighten her posture. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Djon and I use each day.
Daily MiraLAX dosage: None
9:28AM - Morning oral care routine
General observations @ 9:30AM> Breakfast service proceeded well. Energy was good. Maureen was engaged, communicative and responsive. She nodded off for brief periods on a few occasions. Coughing was somewhat typical—five times. Overall, Maureen chewed and swallowed her breakfast well. All in all, we broke out of the gate in good form.
9:45AM - Morning facial treatment including hands and arms
10:00AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve pressure off of her lower back.
10:28AM - Organic fruit smoothie
10:55AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. After Djon and I completed a clean & change, we placed Maureen on her right side.
11:07AM - Rest Break #1 begins.
12:07PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. Djon and I completed a clean & change. We then transported Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.
12:23PM - Lunch | Djon prepared a 1/2 a turkey sandwich with mayonnaise and melted cheese on sourdough bread, 1/2 a bowl of homemade lentil soup and a medley of diced and grilled zucchini and portobello mushroom. Maureen will consume one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during the lunch service. She will enjoy one or two chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
The red mark on the right upper inner thigh is beginning to disappear. It is beginning to heal.
General observations @ 1:20PM> Lunch went reasonably well. Maureen was rather sleepy at times. Her energy level was much less during the lunch service than earlier today. Coughing was good—there were only three. Posture in the geri chair also proved to be a challenge. At times, Maureen was tilting somewhat hard to the left and forward.
1:40PM - Afternoon oral care
2:02PM - Djon and I transported Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. We completed a clean & change and then placed Maureen on her right side.
2:10PM - Rest Break #2 begins.
3:10PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper was light wet. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I transported Maureen to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.
