  • 6:45AM - Maureen i sleeping. She thashes her legs a bit from time to time.

  • 8:20AM - Maureen remains asleep. She opens her eyes briefly from time to time.

  • 8:52AM - No change. Maureen continued to sleep—soundly might I add.

  • 9:03AM - Tom checked on Maureen. He noted her eyes were wide open—blinking very infrequently. Both hands were tightly clenched. The upper right arms was once again spasming. In general, Maureen was not responsive. Tom was holding Maureen's left hand and speaking with her throughout the episode.

  • 9:10AM - Maureen began to come out of it. Her hands relaxed. She started blinking her eyes more normally. As of right now, she is not yet ready to get the day going. Tom is laying down with Maureen in bed to comfort her.

  • 9:25AM - Maureen fell back asleep. She continues to lay in bed.

  • Maureen began her day @ 9:35AM. She is now somewhat alert and responsive. Congestion is not heavy. The diaper is medium wet. Maureen also had a large soft bowel movement. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Tom and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • Breakfast service began @ 10:16AM. Posture in the geri chair is good. Maureen is tilting to the left and forward a bit. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Tom and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 10:48AM> Breakfast went reasonably well. Based on what we experienced this morning, Maureen's energy level was decent. Communication and general engagement was not as good as normal. She continued to tilt to the left more as the breakfast service unfolded. Chewing and swallowing were good—only four coughs. Left eyelid continues to be slightly swollen—say 20%. It is pink.

  • 10:52AM - Morning oral care

  • 11:05AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to reduce the pressure on her sacrum.

  • 11:08AM - Tom checked Maureen's key vitals. They are all good.

  • 11:10 - Maureen began a period where she slept in the geri chair until 11:50AM. She awake a few times for brief moments during this period of time.

  • 12:25PM - We headed to the bedroom for a clean & change in advance of Dr. Parise's visit. Diaper was light wet. Upon completion of the process, Tom and I transported Maureen to the front room for her toenail cutting appointment.

  • 12:49PM - Maureen is sitting comfortably in her lift recliner watch TPIR with Tom.

  • 1:35PM - Dr. Parise visited to cut Maureen's toenails.

  • 2:15PM - Lunch | Tom prepared a turkey and cheese sandwich on rye bread and a 1/2 a bowl of homemade lentil soup. Maureen also enjoyed a bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Waster. We ate al fresco today on the back patio.
