  • 6:30AM - Maureen is sleeping.

  • 7:15AM - No change. Maureen continues to sleep.

  • 7:45AM - Maureen is beginning to stir. Still sleeping.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:20AM. She is alert and engaged. Congestion is somewhat evident. The diaper is light wet. Wednesday is bed bath day. Click/tap here for a detailed overview of the process Sandy and I use each week.

  • Sandy went through a series of stretching exercises focusing on Maureen's legs, hips arms and wrists.

  • 9:24AM - Administration of saline solution via nebulizer.

  • Breakfast service began @ 9:40AM. Posture in the geri chair is decent. Maureen is tilting somewhat forward and to the left. We inserted a green wedge pillow on each side of her and the red velour couch pillow behind her head. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Sandy and I follow each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1 full cap

  • 10:32AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 10:44AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hands.

  • Due to Maureen sleeping in a bit and Sandy's daily stretching exercises, we feel behind schedule. As a result, we decided to skip the morning smoothie.

  • 11:01AM - We headed outside for a brief walk.

  • 11:26AM - We returned from a walk around the block.

  • 11:30AM - Sandy and I transported Maureen to the bedroom for a clean & change. The diaper was light wet. After finishing up the clean & change, we placed Maureen on her left side.

  • 11:37AM - Rest Break # 1 begins. Since we are doing Maureen's hair this afternoon and she also has a nurse's appointment at 3PM, this will be the only rest break of the day.

  • 1:07PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Sandy and I shampooed Maureen's hair. We then headed to the kitchen where Sandy added some styling mousse.

  • 1:37PM - Lunch | Sandy prepared a serving of Chesapeake Bay Gulf Shrimp, a small bowl of homemade pea and chicken soup and a medley of grilled portobello mushroom, squash and zucchini. Maureen will consume one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during the lunch service.

  • 2:28PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:35PM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve pressure off of her sacrum.

  • 3:08PM - We headed to the bedroom for a clean & change. Diaper was heavy wet. After completing the process, we headed to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:30PM - Maureen's JourneyCare nurse Ann Eberson arrived for the weekly visit.

  • 3:35PM - Fruit snack
