Wednesday October 18, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side.

• 7:00am Maureen’s sleeping soundly.

• 7:30am She’s accepting sips of water via swab, opened her eyes earlier with a slight twitching for a few minutes.

• 8:00am Maureen went back to sleep.

• 8:40am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine pill with apple sauce.

• 8:50am Our day starts by giving Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:10am Maureen is enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie w/1ts flaxseeds, 8oz prune juice w/1/2 cap Miralax and couple spoons of Greek yogurt.

• 9:25am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.

• 9:30am Patty, RN came by for Maureen’s weekly visit. She reports that lungs are clear.

• Vitals:

• BP: 116/62

• Pulse: 74

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 9:45am Morning oral care.

• 9:55am Facial routine.

• Maureen was snoozing most of the time after her morning routine.

• 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and a medium-soft bowel movement. Positioned on her right side starting at 12:20.

• 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen where we blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 12:40pm Lunch: Brussels sprouts soup, grilled chicken salad with diced tomato on the side, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed twice.

• 1:15pm Oral care.

• 1:30pm Taking advantage of the nice weather this afternoon, we go with Maureen for a walk around the neighborhood.

• 2:10pm Back home, Maureen had half cup of lemon water.

• 2:15pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper then positioned on her left side starting at 2:30.

• Maureen stayed awake all the time since her first nap and even during our walk outside.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and headed Maureen to the living area.

• 3:35pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), 3/4 cup of lemon water. No coughs.
