Saturday, December 6 Daytime update

• 9:00 am- Maureen is awake. Tom said that she woke up around 7:45, accepted sips of water via swab.

  Marie continued giving her sips of water. Maureen stayed awake.

• 9:05 am- Administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce. Nebulizer treatment with saline solution followed.

• 9:15 am- We started the day with changing a medium wet diaper. Cleaned Maureen with warm water and Cetaphil cleanser. Applied Sureprep barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on inner tights. Next we washed Maureen’s upper body. No redness on skin observed. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

• 9:35 am- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

• 9:40 am- Breakfast- scrambled eggs with tomato and onion, half of a pear, 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen coughed once.

• 10:15 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

• 10:20 am- Morning oral care.

• 10:25 am- Facial and hand care routine.

• 11:30 am- Maureen took a half an hour nap.

• 11:50 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. She will lie down on her right side for half an hour starting at 12:00 pm.

• 12:30 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet. Marie and I cleaned and changed her . Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 12:45 pm- Lunch- orange chicken and pasta, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice, one sneeze.

• 2:00 pm - Maureen finished 10 oz of sparkling water.

• 2:45 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break ended. Her diaper was heavy wet. Marie and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 3:00 pm.

• 3:30 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Diaper was dry . We dressed her and transferred to the recliner.

• 3:50 pm- Fresh melon for afternoon snack, 5 oz of electrolyte water.

• Maureen consumed 43 oz of water during the day.
