Wednesday November 22, 2023 Daytime update

  • 6:30am Maureen is opening her eyes, she is lying on her left side.

  • 7:00am Maureen received sips of water via swab. She’s falling back to sleep now.

  • 7:30am She’s in and out of sleep.

  • 8:00am Maureen’s still sleepy.

  • 8:30am She’s asleep.

  • 9:00am Maureen is sleeping deeply.

  • 9:30am She is still asleep, we gently repositioned on her right side.

  • 9:45am Maureen woke up calmly few minutes after repositioning. We now raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:50am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, cleaning and changing a md wet diaper and applying cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 10:15am Maureen is enjoying few sips of coffee, 6oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for breakfast. Coughed and sneezed once, suction pump used.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch during breakfast, Maureen was leaning forward.

  • Daily Miralax dosage: NONE.


  • 10:30am Ann, RN came for Maureen’s weekly visit,

Lungs are clear

Temp: 98.6

BP: 110/62

HR: 74

  • 10:50am Morning oral care.

  • 11:00am Facial routine.

  • 11:40am Maureen ha half cup of cucumber water.

  • 11:45am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first resting break. Diaper was dry, positioned on her right side starting at 11:55.

  • 12:35pm First resting break ends, shortened because of the late start. Diaper was dry, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair and headed to the kitchen after.

  • 12:50pm pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

  • 1:00pm Lunch: Chicken/potato soup, sliced boiled egg, 1/2 toasted rye bread topped with guacamole, full cup of root beer and chocolate covered strawberry for dessert! Coughed once during meal.

  • 2:20pm Maureen is sitting relaxed while listening to Christmas songs. She in good spirits, smiley and well awake the whole time during her breaks and while sitting down.

  • 2:25pm She had 1/4 cup of cucumber water.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her left side at 2:45.

  • 3:30pm Second resting break ends. Diaper was md wet with a Small-formed BM, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon).
