Wednesday November 1, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side.

• 7:00am Maureen woke up soon after my arrival with slight twitching for a few minutes. She’s been accepting sips of water via swab.

• 7:30am Maureen’s sleepy.

• 8:00am Maureen’s in and out of sleep.

• 8:30am She’s awake. we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:40am Our day start. We give Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Redness by her right armpit is fading but still visible, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied caviLon barrier and cream.

• 9:00am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1tsp flaxseeds, 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax and couple spoons of Greek yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.
  

• 9:10am Patty, RN came for Maureen’s weekly visit:

BP: 122/64

Pulse: 67

She took a look at Maureen’s redness and recommended to keep treating it with nystatin, “it looks like fungus”. Will order powder nystatin for any future reappearance.

• 9:20am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Reclined Maureen’s chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:40am Morning oral care.

• Maureen snoozed for some 35 minutes, on the Geri chair, once we’re done with her morning routine. She had 1/3 cup of lemon water in between.

• 11:15am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet with a Large-soft BM, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side starting at 11:30.

• 12:15pm First break ends. Cleaned/changed a md wet diaper. Dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen.

• 12:35pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• Carolyn visited Maureen and brought dinner!

• 12:45pm Lunch: Pumpkin soup, turkey salad with steamed beet/baby carrots on the side, full cup of root beer and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward. She coughed once.

• 1:30 pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

• Good numbers during Maureen’s check up! Aside from her little nap this morning, she’s been awake, alert and in good spirit the rest of the day. Coughing was minimal during meals, and phlegm almost non existent, only had to use suction pump once. She ate well , with enthusiasm and had plenty of liquids.

• 2:15 pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper. Positioned on her Lt at 2:30.

• 3:20pm Second break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned/changed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room. 3:40pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs.
