Wednesday, May 3 Daytime update

• 6:30 am- Maureen is sleeping.

• 7:00 am- Maureen is still asleep.

• 7:30 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

• 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

• 8:50 am- Maureen is awake now. We raised the bed and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:05 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet and we noticed some vaginal discharge.. Dalia and I performed a full body bed bath. There was a slight redness under the right breast. Applied nystatin. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Dressed, transferred Maureen in the Geri chair and headed to the dining area.

• 9:30 am- Breakfast- half a smoothie with a couple of tbs of oatmeal, 1/3 of a pear in it too and 6 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax..Maureen coughed twice.

• 9:55 and- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril with apple sauce.

• Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

• 10:00 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

• 10:05 am- Facial routine.

• 10:30 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

• 11:00 am- We transferred Maureen to the bed. Her diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:10 am.

• 12:10 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We proceeded with her hair wash. Dressed , transferred Maureen in the chair and headed to the dining area.

• 12:30 pm- Dried and styled Maureen's hair.

• 12:35 pm- Lunch- chicken with green peas, cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed four times. She finished the lemon water during lunch. We reclined Maureen's chair because she was leaning forward and her head was down. Maureen had a cup of freshly squeezed watermelon juice after lunch.

• 1:05 pm- Oral care.

• 1:30 pm- Maureen finished her second cup of lemon water.

• 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to her bed. Diaper was medium wet. There was more vaginal discharge again. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side starting at 2:15 pm.

• 3:15 pm- Second rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 3:30 pm- Fresh fruit snack.

• 3:50 pm- Weekly visit with Ann Emberson, RN.
