Wednesday, May 24 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is asleep. She is laying on her left side.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is asleep. She opens her eyes at times, but goes back to sleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still in and out of sleep.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is awake now. Dalia and I raised the bed and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:10 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper dry. Dalia and I changed it and proceeded with giving Maureen a full body bed bath. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 9:30 am- Breakfast- Smoothie, 6 oz of prune juice with 1/4 cup of Miralax, cup of water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/4 cup.

  • 10:00 am- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is very alert and engaged. She is sipping on her water and watching the morning show.

  • 11:15 am- We transferred Maureen to bed. Diaper was heavy wet and she had a very small formed bowel movement.Dalia and I cleaned and changed Maureen. Positioned her on the right side at 11:30 am.

  • 12:30 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and proceeded with the hair wash.

  • 12:40 pm- Drying and styling Maureen's hair.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- potatoes cream soup, shrimp salad, red beets, cup of lemon water. No coughs.

  • 1:25 pm- Oral care.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to bed. Diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:15 pm.

  • 3:15 pm- Second rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was medium wet . Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 3:35 pm- Fresh fruit snack.

  • 3:50 pm- Weekly visit with Ann Emberson, RN.

9:30AM - Maureen's lying on her left side - soundlessly sleeping. No signs of any distress. 10:00AM - She's still sleeping. 10:30AM - Re-positioned Maureen to the right side, eyes still closed. 10:45A
