Wednesday March 20, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is sleepy , lying on her left side.

• 8:20am Maureen’s awake, we raised the bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. Next, we gave Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. No redness observed. Cleaned changed a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum area and barrier cream to inner thighs. Dressed and continued to wash her hair before transferring to the kitchen.

• 8:45am Maureen had 1/4 fresh pear followed by 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax.

• 8:55am Blow drying and styling Maureen’s hair.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:15am Breakfast: Oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 3 prunes and couple spoons of Greek yogurt, a cup of lemon water. Coughed and sneezed twice, suction pump used.

• 9:25am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: full cap.

• 9:40am Morning oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine performed.

• 10:00am Maureen’s sitting comfortably watching a Disney movie. She napped for about half hour during the film.

• 11:00am Ann, RN arrived for Maureen’s weekly visit: Lungs are clear Temp: 97.5 HR: 74 BP: 100/62 Ann will be consulting the Doctor about Maureen’s bowel movement and current treatment, will inform Tom afterward.

• 11:20am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:35am.

• 12:20pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:35pm Lunch: Lentils soup, chicken salad with cabbage and onion, full cup of root beer and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed once during meal.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:15pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen is in good spirits relaxing in the chair. She finished drinking half cup of ginger tea in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper then inserted a suppository as planned. Positioned on her left side starting at 2:45pm.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was medium wet with a Large-soft BM, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
