Wednesday June 19, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s sleepy, lying on her left with Tom next to her. He tells, Maureen woke up calmly recently and had few sips of water via swab.

• 8:40am Maureen’s awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:50am Emily and I started our day giving Maureen a full body bath using damp washcloth and Cetaphil cleanser. Applied a thin layer of nystatin to fading redness by her left arm fold. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:10am Breakfast: Half pear, half mandarin, cup of lemon water and oatmeal/fruit smoothie with a spoonful of yogurt. Coughed twice, suction pump used.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during breakfast, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 9:35am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage:None

• 9:50am Oral care.

• 10:30am Maureen seats with relaxed hands and awake while watching a Disney movie.

• 10:00am Albuterol and saline Neb treatment.

• 11:00am Ann, RN arrives for Maureen’s weekly visit:

Lungs are clear

Temp: 97.1

BP: 99/60

Pulse: 82

We’ll keep treating with Neb therapy until coughing with phlegm relief.

11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, then inserted a suppository and positioned on her left side.

12:30pm First break ends, clean/change a medium wet diaper with an Extra large-formed BM. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

12:50pm Lunch: Chicken/rice soup, boiled egg with guacamole, full cup of watermelon juice and Greek yogurt and cookie for dessert. Coughed twice.

Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

1:40pm Oral care.

2:00pm Maureen is alert while listening to her playlist.

2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, and then positioned on her right side.

3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen to ha her hair done.

3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (apple/banana/melon).

Deana arrives to dye and trim Maureen’s hair.
