Wednesday December 27, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen is awake, lying on the left with Tom next to her. He tells me, Maureen’s been in and out of sleep and accepting sips of water via swab for a while.

• 7:00am Maureen‘s asleep.

• 7:30am She’s closing her eyes from time to time.

• 8:00am Maureen‘s still sleepy.

• 8:30am Maureen is awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:40am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, cleaning and changing a md wet diaper and applying Cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and headed to the kitchen. No redness observed.

• 9:00am Maureen is enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 2 prunes in it, 8oz prune juice and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for breakfast. She coughed/sneezed twice and was able to get rid of some phlegm on her own.

• 9:20am Administered 10mg loratadine w/smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: None.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 9:40am Morning oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:20am Maureen’s taking a little nap on the chair while listening to Christmas carols.

• 11:00am Maureen had half cup of watermelon juice.

• 11:20am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was dry, positioned on her right side starting at 11:30.

• 12:20pm First break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen.

• 12:40pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 12:50pm Shaniqua, RN came by for Maureen’s weekly visit:

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:50pm Lunch: Veggies soup, turkey ham/cheese salad with fresh tomato, full cup of root beer and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Coughed once, suction pump used.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• Maureen stayed awake the who time after lunch finishing drinking another half cup of watermelon juice.

• 2:20pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the second resting break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned/changed and positioned on her left side at 2:35.

• 3:25pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the lining area.

• 3:40pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs.
