Wednesday, December 13 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is asleep, laying on her left side.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen opened her eyes for a few minutes and went back to sleep.

  • 8:20 am- Maureen is waking up.

  • 8:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was dry. Merianne and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Then we proceeded with giving Maureen a full body bed bath. There was no redness observed. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:00 am- Breakfast- Oatmeal smoothie with two prunes, ) oz of prune juice, a few spoons of yogurt. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 9:30 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin.

  • 9:35 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair after.

  • 9:40 am- Facial routine. We applied Carmex to Maureen's cold sore on the inside of her lower lip.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

  • 11:00 am- A weekly visit with Ann, Maureen's RN. She heard a faint noise in her lungs. Suggested using Saline and Albuterol with Nebulizer twice a day to clear it out. T- 98.7 ;BP- 112/60.

  • 11:30 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution and Albuterol.

  • 11:50 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was heavy wet and she had a small soft bowel movement. Merianne and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned her on the right side at 12:05 pm.

  • 12:50 pm- Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed her and proceeded with washing her hair.

  • 1:00 pm- Drying and styling Maureen's hair.

  • 1:10 pm- Lunch- Chicken noodle soup, chicken salad, souerkraut and carrots, couple of spoons of yogurt, cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:45 pm- Oral care. We reclined the chair down.

  • 1:50 pm- We applied Carmex to Maureen's blister.

  • 2:20 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Her diaper was medium wet. Merianne and I cleaned and changed her. She will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:35 pm.

  • 3::35 pm- Maureen's second rest break ends. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, kiwi and pear.
