Tuesday, June 18, 2024 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - According to Tom, Maureen woke up around 7:45am, a little distress - slight twitching that lasted for atleast 18-20mins. She was still lying on her left side. She took water after via swab.

8:25AM - Maureen looking sleepy after - sleeping in and out. We will give her more time before we start her day.

8:45AM - In an upright position, administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

8:55AM - Maureen looking ready to start her day. Me and Dalia washed her upper body with warmed purple wipes. Redness on left underarm is lighter, applied Nystatin. Diaper was clean and dry. We finished dressing then, transferred to the kitchen.

9:05AM - Breakfast started with cut up pear, 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap of MiraLAX, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and 2 spoonfuls of yogurt. Maureen coughed 2x and sneezed once - used suction machine once to help take out the phlegm. **Reclined geri chair one notch after for Maureen's comfort.

MiraLAX daily dose - 1/2 cap

9:30AM - Administered 10mg of Loratadine with smoothie.

9:40AM - Oral care.

9:45AM - Facial and hand care routine.

10:05AM - Nebulizer treatment - Saline sol'n and albuterol.

General Observation: Maureen looks tired today and has been phlegmy compared yesterday. She was able to cough up and spit a good amount of phlegm halfway while doing the nebulizer treatment.

10:40AM - Maureen closed her eyes for a nap right after Nebulizer treatment.

11:35AM - We moved Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. We cleaned/dried and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on folds. Dressed and position her to face the right side.

12:35PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was dry, we dressed Maureen then transferred her to the kitchen.

12:45PM - BP: 95/60, P: 71 bpm

12:55PM - Lunch was chicken-rice soup, guacamole and crackers. Maureen had fresh melon juice. Coughed 2x while having lunch. Used suction machine.

1:35PM - Oral care. **Reclined geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort.

2:00PM - Maureen was comfortably sitting on the recliner listening to the music. Awake. Coughed 2x, used suction machine.

2:25PM - Maureen had half a cup of ginger tea.

2:30PM - Time for Maureen's 2nd rest break, we moved her to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed her. Position to face her left side.

3:35PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned/dried and changed Maureen. Finished dressing then moved her to the front room.

3:45PM - Fruit snack (kiwi, pear and melon).
