Tuesday June 13, 2023 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen’s asleep. Joanna tells me she was sleeping when she got here at 6:30.

  • 8:09am Maureen opened her eyes and we noticed a little twitching, her pulse was 120 and oxygen 98. Pulse went down to 106 and immediately started to move to 98 for about 5 minutes, then to 78 after that.

  • 8:30am Maureen’s In and out of sleep, she’s relaxed.

  • 9:00am Maureen opened her eye, she’s receptive to zips of water via swab.

  • 9:15am Maureen’s been in and out of sleep, she seems sleepy. We repositioned on her right side.

  • 9:45am Maureen is awake We raised her bed head and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:55am Joanna and I changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream, then washed Maureen’s upper body using warmed purple wipes. No redness observed . Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

  • 10:15am Maureen is enjoying and oatmeal/fruit smoothie for breakfast, 8oz prune juice w/1/4 cap of Miralax . Coughed twice during breakfast. Reclined Geri chair one notch.

  • 10:35 Administered Lisinopril and loratadine with smoothie.

Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap with 8oz prune juice.

  • 10:40am Oral care and facial routine performed .

  • 10:55am Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

  • 11:30am Maureen opened her eyes briefly earlier and continue snoozing.

  • 12:00pm Maureen’s still sleeping in the chair.

  • 12:30pm Maureen woke up from snoozing calmly a few minutes ago.

  • 12:35pm Lunch: broccoli soup, tuna salad, steamed baby carrots and Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen didn’t cough during lunch. She had about 3/4 cup of lemon water.

  • 1:00pm Oral care.

  • 1:15pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the only break of the day, because of the late start, morning break was skipped. We changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and positioned on her right side for an extended break starting at 1:30.

  • 2:30pm Maureen was reposition on her Lt side.

  • 3:00pm Today’s break ends. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper, dressed and transferred Maureen to the living room.

  • 3:20 Maureen seems more alert after the rest break. She’s enjoying her fruit snack (watermelon and ripe pear). No cough.

Daytime summary

Today has been a “Sleep Catch-up Day.” Sleepy and tired the whole day.
