July 19 daytime update

  • 6:30am Maureen is awake. She is lying on her left side. I will periodically give Maureen sips of water using an oral swab.

  • 8:00am Our morning begins. Maureen‘s diaper is heavy wet and she had a medium, formed bowel movement - we cleaned and changed and applied 3M products. Next, we washed the inner folds of Maureen’s skin using warmed wipes from the purple packet and dressed for the day.

  • 8:21am Sandy is helping Maureen through a series of stretches and exercises in bed.

  • 8:35am Flonase, spoonful of manuka honey, and thyroid pill with applesauce.

  • 8:38am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 6 oz prune juice. Maureen coughed 5 times.

  • 9:12am Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

  • 9:20am Oral care.

  • 9:28am Facial routine including hands and arms.

  • 9:40am We headed outside for our daily walk.

  • 10:25am We returned to the house. We walked a total of 0.9 miles.

  • 10:35am Fruit smoothie. No coughs.

  • 11:00am Administered two Senna tablets with applesauce and a cup of water.

  • We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Maureen’s diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:15am.

  • 12:15pm Rest period #1 is through. Maureen’s diaper is light wet - we cleaned and changed. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:28pm Lunch - Lentil soup, a quarter of sliced tomato, egg salad on whole wheat bread, and a bottle of organic coconut water. Rice pudding for dessert. Maureen coughed 5 times.

  • 1:17pm Oral care.

  • 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Maureen’s diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:15pm.

  • 3:15pm Rest period #2 is through. Maureen’s diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned and changed and headed to the front room after.

  • 3:35pm Fruit snack. Maureen coughed once.
