Tuesday, January 3, 2023 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is asleep. She is laying on her left side.

  • 6:50 am- Maureen just had another mild episode. She woke up slowly, but then the arms and hands started twitching. Her eyes were not staring , she was blinking and responsive. The pulse stayed in the 85-90 range for a couple minutes, then quickly picked at 122 for just a few seconds and began coming down. . Oxygen was in the 93-96 range. Everything lasted about 5-6 minutes.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is calm and relaxed. Pulse is in th 70-75 range, O2 is between 93-96. . She is receptive to some water with the swab.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is closing her eyes from time to time. She is calm and relaxed.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is awake now. We started our day. The diaper was medium wet and had a large formed bowel movement in it. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. There was a little discoloration on her sacrum area, more brownish than red. We applied Cavilon Barrier film. Applied Cavilon lotion. Washed Maureen's upper body, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:48- Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:50 am- Breakfast- oatmeal, banana, 8 oz of prune juice, cup of lemon water . Maureen coughed 5 times, we caught some phlegm with the suction pump. No red face coughs.

  • 9:25 am - Administered Lisinopril and Loratadin.

  • 9:26 am - Morning oral care.

  • 9:30 am- We reclined Maureen's chair down for her comfort.

  • 9:35 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen is taking a nap in the chair.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is still sound asleep in the chair.

  • 10:50 am- Maureen is awake. She is enjoying 1/2 a cup of smoothie. There were 4 coughs, 2 red face .We were able to catch some phlegm with the suction.

  • 11:10 am- We headed Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. The diaper was medium wet and she just had a small soft bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned and changed Maureen. Positioned her on the right side at 11: 25 am.

  • 12:25 pm- Rest period # 1 ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:35 pm- Lunch time- butternut squash soup, eggs salad, peeled fresh tomatoe, 12 oz of coconut water, cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed twice. Gave Maureen 20 ml of Robafen after lunch.

  • 1:10 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:15 pm- We reclined Maureen's chair.

  • 1:20 pm- Maureen sneezed a lot- 6-7 times. Her eyes were watering. There were 3 coughs.

  • 1:45 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 2:05 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a change and her second rest break. The diaper was heavy wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed Maureen. She will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:20 pm.

  • 3:20 pm- Rest break # 2 is over. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:30 pm- Fruit snack. One cough.

  • Maureen had definitely more energy today. Congestion was minimal. Coughing was less then what we saw before. She smiled a lot during the day.

8:00AM - Maureen's on her left side - calm and awake, she took sips of water via swab. 8:30AM - Maureen looking sleepy - eyes slightly closed. No signs of any distress. 9:00AM - Re-positioned Maureen

 
 
 
Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025 Daytime update

9:00am Maureen is already awake with Tom by her bedside, receptive to sips of water via swab. 9:25am We raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. 9:27am Blood pressure: 99/69.
