Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side.

  • 8:30am Maureen woke up calmly about 15 minutes ago, accepted sips of water via swab soon after. Now, we raise her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:40am Merianne and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a dry diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. No vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Redness spots on Maureen’s right calf are mostly faded.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

  • 9:00am Breakfast: Toast, scrambled egg, banana, apple, and a cup of water. Coughed twice.

  • No miralax given.

  • 9:50am Administered 10mg Loratadine with apple sauce.

  • 10:00am Oral care.

  • 10:10am Facial routine performed.

  • 10:30am Administered 800mg Acyclovir (crushed) with apple sauce.

  • 11:00am Maureen’s seating alert and relaxed watching a Christmas movie.

  • Maureen finished a full cup of electrolyte before going for her break.

  • 11:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

  • Carolyn visits.

  • 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Tommy visits.

  • 12:45pm Administered 800mg Acyclovir with apple sauce.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • 12:50pm Lunch: Crabcake with sautéed zucchini, sweet peppers and onion, French fries, and a cup of coconut water. Coughed twice.

  • 1:45pm Oral care.

  • 2:00pm Blood pressure: 110/65, P 74.

  • 2:30pm Administered 800mg Acyclovir with apple sauce.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper and small-soft BM, positioned on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

  • 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana), and half cup of electrolyte.
