Tuesday August 22, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s sleeping lying on her left side.

• 7:00am Maureen is still asleep.

• 7:30am She opened her eyes briefly and continued to sleep.

• 8:00am Maureen was awake for a few minutes, receptive to sips of water via swab then went back to sleep.

• 8:40am Maureen’s fully awake, we raised her bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:50am We are ready to start the day. Marianne and I changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon cream; washed Maureen’s upper body with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Blood pressure: 105/49.

• 9:10am Maureen’ enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 4oz prune juice with 1/4 cap Miralax and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed once.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

• 9:30am Administered 25mg metoprolol and 10 mg loratadine with smoothie.

• 9:35am Morning oral care.

• 9:45 Saline Neb treatment performed.

• 10:00am Facial routine.

• After her morning routine, Maureen was mostly awake, had some lemon water in between.

• 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was dry; positioned on her right side at 11:10am

• 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, after massaging her pelvic Maureen was able to pee. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Blood pressure: 136/83.

• 12:25pm Lunch:: chicken soup, tuna salad, diced beet, full cup of sparkling water, and couple spoons Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed twice, nose runny during meal.

• Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water and a full cup of sparkling water.

• Happy to say that Maureen is taking today! I LIKE IT. RIGHT. QUIETE ..,.

• 1:00pm Oral care.

• After lunch, Maureen stayed awake sitting in the Geri chair.

• 2::10pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and positioned on her left side at 2:25pm.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Diaper was md wet, changed and cleaned. Dressed and headed Maureen to the living area.

• Blood pressure: 131/82.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack ( melon). No coughs.

Summary

Maureen’s been talking, said a few words today, something she’s not doing often lately. Today she had enough energy to stay awake most of the day. Didn’t cough much and really enjoyed her lunch and sparkling very much. 🙏
