Thursday Nov. 21, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s lying on her left with Tom by her side, having sips of water.

• 8:50am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:00am Joanna and I started the day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with very small-yellowish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:20am Breakfast: 6oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with an activia yogurt, and 1/2 cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed twice during breakfast and had a coughing/sneezing episode after.

• 9:35am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• 9:55am Saline Neb treatment.

• 10:10am Oral care.

• 10:20am Eye wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• Maureen napped for 30 minutes as soon as she was done with her morning routine.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper it’s dry and clear, positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper it’s dry and clear, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Blood pressure: 105/65.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:50pm Lunch: Broccoli soup, tuna salad with steamed carrot and sweet pepper, full cup of sparkling water, and a piece of milk chocolate for dessert. Maureen had a coughing/sneezing/red face episode during meal.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen’s relaxed and alert while listening to her playlist.

• Maureen had half cup of lemon water.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper with Very small-soft BM, positioned on her left side. No vaginal discharge observed.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
