Thursday, May 9, 2024 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen was sleeping when I came in, she's lying on her left side. Tom informed she woke up around 6am and fell back to sleep right after.

8:15AM - Maureen is awake already.

8:30AM - In an upright position, we administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

8:45AM - Me and Tom started to wash Maureen's upper body with warmed purple wipes. No redness/rashes on skin observed. Diaper was dry and clean upon checking. We finished dressing Maureen then, transferred to the kitchen.

8:55AM - Breakfast started with 8oz of prune juice with 1 cap of MiraLAX, oatmeal/fruit smoothie, and 2 spoonfuls of yogurt. Maureen finished 1/2 cup of lemon water. Coughed twice and sneezed once.

Daily dose MiraLAX - 1 cap

9:25AM - Administered 10mg of Loratadine with smoothie.

9:35AM - Oral care.

9:40AM - Eye care/ eye drops routine. Then, followed by facial and hand care routine.

**Maureen has been giving us a few smiles.

10:25AM - BP: 105/63, P: 74 bpm

11:00AM - Maureen had a 15 min nap and stayed awake the whole time until we moved her for rest break.

11:30AM - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned/dried and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on folds. Position to face her right side at 11:45am.

**Tom was reading Maureen the Danielle Steel novel.

12:40PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was dry, we dressed Maureen then, moved to the kitchen.

12:50PM - Lunch was tuna salad, potato salad and fresh sliced tomato. Maureen had rice pudding for dessert and a cup of coconut water. She also finished a cup of lemon water. Coughed 2x, sneezed 3x.

1:35PM - Oral care. **Reclined geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort.

2:00PM - Maureen's hands were relaxed and she's sitting comfortably on her chair. She was responsive with our conversation today, giving us nods and few words.

2:30PM - We moved her to the bedroom for the 2nd rest break. Diaper was heavy wet with small formed bowel movement. We cleaned and changed her then, position to face her right side.

3:35PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was dry, we proceed dressing Maureen then, moved her to the front room.

3:45PM - Fruit snack time (kiwi, pear and melon). Maureen enjoyed her snack as per usual. No coughs.
