Thursday, March 30 Daytime update.

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 7:05 am- Maureen coughed a couple of times and she opened her eyes. She was calm and very relaxed. Pulse was 72. She stayed awake for about 5 minutes and is closing her eyes again.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is back to sleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is waking up. She still closes her eyes for a few minutes at times, but opens them up again. Her pulse is in the mid 60-s, she is very calm.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is awake and we started the day. Her diaper was light wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We next washed Maureen's upper body. No new red spots were seen. The old ones are fading, the big one on Maureen's neck that we saw yesterday looks a little better. We applied hydrocortisone cream.

  • 8:45 am- Breakfast- oatmeal, banana, half a peeled apple, cup of lemon water. We started with administering Levothyroxine with apple sauce. Maureen coughed twice during breakfast.

  • 9:15 am- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril with apple sauce. Maureen finished her first cup of lemon water.

  • 9:20 am- Morning oral care.We reclined Maureen's chair down for her comfort.

  • 9:30 am- Eye wash and eye drops.

  • 9:35 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen snoozed for 10 minutes.

  • 10:30 am- Half a smoothie with almond milk only. Maureen didn't cough, she sneezed once.

  • 11:00 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a change and her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed Maureen. She will lie on her right side for an hour starting at 11:15 am.

  • 12:15 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was light wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:30 pm- Lunch- cauliflower soup, tuna salad, fresh tomatoe, bottle of coconut water. Maureen coughed once.

  • 1:00 pm- Oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down one notch for her comfort.

  • 1:30 pm- Maureen is resting in her chair. She looks tired, doesn't accept much water. Her energy seems low.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Her diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:15 pm.

  • 3:15 pm- Rest break # 2 is over. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 3:30 pm- Fresh fruit snack. Seems like Maureen's energy is back for the fruit! She really enjoys it! Two coughs.
