Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen sleeps soundly.

  • 8:30am Maureen woke up 20 minutes ago. She was slightly jumpy at first, calming down soon after and accepting sips of water afterward.

  • 8:45am Maureen’s awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:50am Blood pressure: 114/68, P60.

  • 8:55am Joanne and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, applied nystatin powder to redness by her right arm pleat, it looks smaller. Clean/change a dry diaper with a small - yellowish vaginal discharge (no unfamiliar odor), applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:25am Administered 10mg Loratadine with apple sauce. Breakfast followed: a cup of lemon water, soft scrambled egg with tomato and onion, banana, and half cup of coffee. Coughed twice.

  • No Miralax

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

  • 10:10am Oral care.

  • 10:20am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

  • Maureen’s been alert and in good spirits the whole morning, smiling couple times. She had half cup of lemon water in the meantime.

  • 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

  • Carolyn and Colyn visit Maureen for lunch.

  • 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, no vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:45pm Lunch: Turkey ham, sweet potato fries, avocado, and a cup of root beer. Coughed three times.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

  • 1:50pm Oral care.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, no vaginal discharge observed. Positioned her on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

  • 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana).
