Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen's sleeping when I came in with Dalia at bedside. Dalia updated that Maureen has been sleeping in and out when she arrived at 6:30am and that Tom has been giving her sips of water via swab.


8:30AM - Maureen is still calmly sleeping.


9:19AM - Maureen woke up with slight twitching, tongue clicking, jaw was however relaxed with a pulse of 103bpm. Episode lasted for approximately 12mins, pulse raised to 129-134bpm for 5mins then slowly went down until it reaches to 104bpm. Maureen appeared calmer after.


9:50AM - Maureen looking ready to start her day. We washed her upper body with warmed purples wipes. We saw slight redness on her right underarm, we applied thin layer of Nyastatin to prevent more redness. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed. Finished dressing then transferred to the kitchen.


10:10AM - Breakfast started with 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 2 prunes, and yogurt. Coughed once.


***No MiraLAX today.


10:30AM - Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.


10:40AM - Maureen had quarter a cup of ginger tea. Reclined geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort.


10:45AM - Oral care.


10:50AM - Eye care and eye drops routine.


10:55AM - Facial and hand care routine.


11:15AM - Maureen snoozing on her chair.


11:35AM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was dry. Positioned to face her right side at 11:45am.


12:30PM - Shortened 1st rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed Maureen. Then, transferred to kitchen for lunch.


12:40PM - Lunch is tuna salad, beets, yogurt and 12oz of sparkling water. Maureen had rice pudding for dessert which she enjoyed. No coughs.

**Geri chair reclined one notch in between her lunch due to Maureen leaning forward a lil bit.


1:20PM - Oral care.


2:00PM - Maureen sitting comfortably on the recliner - awake.


2:30PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Inserted suppository to aid on her bowel movement. Positioned to face her left side.


3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was light wet with large hard bowel movement then while cleaning Maureen another large soft bowel movement came out after 4mins. We cleaned her thoroughly, then changed. Transferred to the front room after.


3:50PM - Fruit snack (kiwi, pear, melon). No coughs.


4:30PM - Mauren snoozing on recliner.

BP: 105/65, P: 68bpm


5:00PM - Dinner was chicken enchilada with veggies. Finished half a cup of cold ginger tea. Coughed once.


5:45PM - Administered 5mg Olanzapine with apple sauce and 12.5ml Vimpat.


6:00PM - Oral care.


6:25PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed. Redness on right underarm no longer visible. Applied Cavilon cream on folds. Applied Cetaphil lotion on face, arms and legs. Positioned Maureen to face her left side.

Sunday March 8th Daytime Summary

-9:30am Maureen was awake, Tom gave her a few swabs of water & she fell back asleep. Made Sunday omelet & made more pear puree. -10:00am Maureen is awake, we put her in a upright position & gave her 7
