Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s awake with Tom by her side, receptive to sips of water vía swab.

• 8:45am Maureen’ s awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:50am Blood pressure: 102/60, P 63.

• 8:55am Joanna and I started the day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a dry diaper with small yellowish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Applied a gauze pad with surgical tape to redness spots on Maureen’s right calf. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:15am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax, pancake with jam and syrup, activia yogurt, and 3/4 cup of water. Coughed three times.

• Daily Miralax dosage: full cap

• 9:40am Administered 10mg Loratadine and 100mg colace (crushed) with yogurt.

• 10:00am Oral care.

• 10:10am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 10:20am Applied a thin layer of Triamcinolone cream to Maureen’s left hand dorsal bump.

• Maureen napped for about 35 minutes right after her morning routine.

• 11:20am Maureen’s very relaxed listening to Christmas carols.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper and small-formed BM; dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Chicken salad with sautéed zucchini, tomato, sweet pepper, onion, and a cup of sparkling water. No coughs.

• 1:35pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen stayed awake after meal, in the meantime, she had 1/4 cup of water.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry and clear, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi) and 1/4 cup of water.
