Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen sleeps soundly lying on her left side.

  • 8:22am Maureen opened her eyes with a mild twiching that lasted 12 minutes. Her pulse went up to 104 briefly and down to 90s within few minutes.

  • 8:40am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:50am Joanna and I started the day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Diaper is dry and clear, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • 9:10am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax, French toast with 1/2 banana, activia yogurt, and 2/3 cup to water. Coughed three times.

  • 9:35am Administered 10mg loratadine with yogurt .

  • Daily Miralax dosage: 1cap

  • 9:50am Oral care.

  • 10:00am Eyes Wash/drops and facial routine performed.

  • Shortly after her morning routine, Maureen napped for about 30 minutes.

  • 11:10am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area, then positioned on her right side.

  • 12:05pm Blood pressure: 100/60, P 73.

  • 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Carolyn and her brother John visit Maureen with lunch for all of us:).

  • 12:25pm Lunch: Crab cake with mashed potatoes and coleslaw, and a cup of coconut water. Coughed once.

  • 1:40pm Oral care.

  • Barb visita Maureen.

  • 2:20pm Maureen sits relaxed and alert while watching a Christmas movie. The had half cup of water in the meantime.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

  • 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melón/kiwi/pear).
