Thursday, August 7, 2025 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen sleeps peacefully lying on her left side. As per Tom, she woke up coughing phlegm around 7, going back to sleep minutes later.

• 8:30am Maureen is sleeping.

• 8:45am Maureen calmly opened her eyes ten minutes ago, now we raised her bed to administer 75 mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:47am Blood pressure: 106/70.

• 8:50am Saline and albuterol Neb treatment.

• 9:10am Administered 2-4mg tablets of Methylprednisolone with apple sauce.

• 9:12am Joanna and I started the day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with a small-yellowish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area and calazinc to healing, around anal area redness. Dressed and headed to the living room.

• 9:35am Administered 10mg Loratadine with apple sauce.

• 9:37am Breakfast: 10oz lemon water, scrambled egg with tomato and onion, and banana. Maureen sounds very congested today, she coughed 6 times, sneezed twice and her nose was runny during breakfast, suction pump used twice releasing a good amount of phlegm (yellowish-slightly greenish).

• 10:10am Administered 1tablet (875/125mg) AMOXICILLIN & CLAVULANATE with apple sauce.

• 10:15am Oral care.

• 10:25am Eyes wash/drops and face wash.

• 10:30am Administered 20ml expectorant with apple sauce.

• Maureen coughed and sneezed a few times after breakfast, suction pump used successfully to remove phlegm.

• 10:40am Used the nasal aspirator to clear Maureen’s nose and sprayed with saline mist afterwards.

• Maureen relaxed back on the recliner,

  closing her eyes soon after she was done with her morning routine.

• 11:00am

  Oxigen is ON

  Pulse: 64

  O2: 95

• 11:50am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

  Oxigen is ON

• Maureen coughed out some more phlegm with the assistance of the suction pump while in bed.

• 12:50pm First break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 1:05pm Albuterol Neb treatment.

• 1:18pm Lunch: Chicken/noodle soup, tuna salad with tomato, and 9oz of coconut water. She coughed four times and sneezed once, plenty of phlegm collected with the help of the suction pump.

• 2:05pm Administered 1-4mg tablet of Methylprednisolone with apple sauce.

• 2:08pm Oral care.

  Oxigen is ON

  Pulse: 81

  O2: 98

• 2:20pm Administered 20ml expectorant with apple sauce.

• 2:40pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting period. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

• 3:35pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:50pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/kiwi) with 3oz lemon water.

• Total liquids ingested: 22oz.
