Sunday, September 21 Daytime update

• 8:00 am - Maureen is in and out of sleep. She is comfortably laying on her left side. Tom is giving her sips of water via swab when appropriate.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is sleeping.

• 8:45 - Maureen is waking up. Will give her some time.

  O2-96, P- 61

• 8:55 am- Maureen is fully awake now. We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

• 9:00 am- We started the day with changing a dry diaper. Cleaned and applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on inner tights. Then we washed Maureen’s upper body. No redness observed. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

• 9:15 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

• 9:35 am- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water. No coughs.

• 9:40 am- Breakfast- omelette, piece of pear, 8 oz of prune juice. Two dry coughs, one sneeze.

• 10:15 am- Morning oral care.

• 10:30 am- Face and hands care routine.

• 11:00 am- Maureen had 5 oz of electrolyte water.

• 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:30 am.

• 12:30 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen in the wheelchair. Headed outside to the patio.

• 12:55 pm- Maureen is enjoying her lunch outside. She is having lentils soup, coleslaw , fish and chips from Friday, 10 oz of coconut water. Coughed four times (dry ), sneezed three times. Her nose was running too.

• 1:45 pm - We came back inside.

• 1:50 pm- Oral care.

• 1:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. Maureen will lie down on her right side for an hour starting at 2:05 pm.

• 3:05 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

• 3:20 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

• 3:45 pm- Fred fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Two dry coughs.

• 4:20 pm- Maureen finished 10 oz of electrolyte water.

• 4:50pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

• 5:00 pm - Maureen’s diaper is dry.

• 5:05 pm - Dinner - spaghetti with meatballs. There dry coughs, two sneezes. Maureen had 2 oz of water.

• 5:55 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

• 6:15 pm- Evening oral care.

• 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned Maureen’s face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
