Sunday, October 19 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, laying comfortably on her left side.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is awake now, will give her a few more minutes.

  • 8:40 am- We raised the bed, placed Maureen in upright position and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 8:45 am- We started the day with changing a medium wet diaper. Cleaned her and applied Sureprep barrier wipe and Cavilon cream. Next we washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 9:05 am- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 9:20 am- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

  • 9:30 am- Breakfast- omelette, half of a pear, 8 oz of prune juice with one cup of MiraLAX. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed twice. We used the suction machine to help .

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage- 1 cup.

  • 10:10 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

  • 10:30 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:45 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen had 5 oz of sparkling water.

  • 11:20 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:35

    am.

  • 12:05 pm- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 12:35 pm- Maureen took 20 minutes nap. The rest break is over now . Maureen’s diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the front room. Transferred her to the recliner.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- tuna salad with fresh tomato, lemon chicken soup and 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen had three dry coughs. Sneezed twice.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Her diaper was dry. We positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:05 pm.

  • 3:05 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 3:20 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 3:50 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and apple. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 4:15 pm- Maureen finished 10 oz of electrolyte water.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner - Baked mostaccioli with meatball , 5 oz of water. Maureen coughed twice, sneezed twice .

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet and she had a large soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed it. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned/ wiped her face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen consumed 48 oz of liquids today.
