Sunday. November 2 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is awake, receiving sips of water via swab from Tom. She was able to cough up lots of phlegm, suction machine was used.

  • 8:35 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 8:40 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was dry, there was a very small brownish spot on it. We cleaned and changed it. Applied Sureprep barrier wipe and Remedy cream. Next we washed Maureen’s upper body. No redness observed. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 9:00 am- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 9:15 am- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

  • 9:20 am- Breakfast- omelette, half a pear, 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen enjoyed a 2 oz of coffee. She coughed three times, sneezed twice. We used the suction machine twice to help her get some phlegm out.

  • 10:00 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

  • 10:05 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:10 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 10:40 am- Maureen is closing her eyes from time to time.

  • 11:15 am- Maureen was in and out of sleep for half an hour.

  • 11:20 am-Deacon Andy arrived for Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:45 am.

  • 12:45 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 1:00 pm- Lunch- cabbage and chicken soup, moussaka, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed a few times. She was making a pushing sound and looked uncomfortable. We reclined the recliner back, she seemed more relaxed. Because of that, we decided not to go outside .

  • 2:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was medium wet and Maureen had a large formed bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Positioned Maureen on her right side. She will lay down for an hour starting at 2:05 pm.

  • 3:05 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred to the recliner.

  • 3:25 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of sparkling water.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 3:55 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and apple. One cough.

  • 4:30 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of water mixed with a little apple juice.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner - Chicken tacos from Chipotle, 5 oz of watermelon juice . Maureen coughed twice, sneezed a few times.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:00 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:15 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was heavy wet. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Medline Remedy cream. Cleaned Maureen’s face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands and legs. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen consumed 55 oz of liquids today. She was very phlegmy in the morning, but better in the afternoon. Both nebulizer treatments helped.

9:00am Maureen is already awake with Tom by her bedside, receptive to sips of water via swab. 9:25am We raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. 9:27am Blood pressure: 99/69.

 
 
 
Monday, Dec. 8, 2025 Daytime update

9:00am Maureen sleeps peacefully lying on her left side. 9:30am Maureen woke up calmly and receptive to sips of water 20 minutes ago. She seems ready to start the day, we raised her bed to administer
