Sunday, May 3 Daytime update

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is awake , receiving sips of water from Tom.

  • 10:00 am- We placed the bed in upright position and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce. We decided not to use puréed pear today because of Maureen’s soft bowel movements yesterday.

    Maureen had 6 oz of thickened lemon water. We did the first Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol .

    Cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper. There was a medium VD, brownish, odorless.

    Applied Sureprep barrier film and Cavilon cream.

    Washed Maureen’s upper body, dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 10:30 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

    Breakfast- omelette, 10 oz of thickened coconut water. Maureen coughed four times, sneezed many times. No coughs while drinking.

    Administered 20 ml of Geri-Tussin with applesauce.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy arrived at the house for Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am- Morning oral care. The gums on the upper right side is still a little red. Cleaned the area thoroughly with the swab, interdental small brush between the teeth and the soft toothbrush. Electric toothbrush was used for the rest of her mouth. No bleeding.

    Facial and hand care routine followed.

  • 11:45 am- Maureen finished 10 oz of thickened sparkling water.

  • 12:00 pm- We checked Maureen’s diaper. Looked very wet. Tom and I transferred her to the bedroom for a change. Diaper was heavy wet and she had a small, soft bowel movement. We cleaned, changed her and headed back to the front room.

  • 1:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her rest break. Diaper was dry. She will lay down on her right side for an hour.

  • 2:40 pm- Maureen’s rest break ended. He diaper was wet and she had a medium soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 4:00 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 4:20 pm - Maureen had 10 oz of thickened lemon water. She coughed 5 times.

  • 4:30 - Dinner- Lemon chicken and fried rice, 10 oz of coconut water. . Maureen she coughed twice.

  • 5:30 pm- Administered 20 ml of Geri-Tussin, 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 5:45 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was heavy wet with a small clear VD. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
