Sunday, May 1 , Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is awake, chatting with Tom.

  • 8::30 am- Our day begins. Maureen is in a good mood. We started by putting Tolcylen on her right toe. The diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon barrier film on the pressure spot area, Cavilon cream on inner tights and a new diaper on. Cleaned her underarms , under breasts and inner elbow. Dressed Maureen, transferred her to the chair and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:15 am- Breakfast time. We started with a spoon of Manuka honey, followed by half of Thyroid pill. Maureen enjoyed a banana, prune juice and a ham and cheese omelette . After breakfast we administered the blood pressure and allergy medication . Maureen coughed four times during breakfast.

  • 10:00 am- Oral care.

  • 10:15 am- Facial time.

  • 10/30 am - We headed to the living room and transferred Maureen to the recliner. She and Tom enjoyed watching the Survivor.

  • 10:40 am- Maureen feel asleep in the recliner.

  • 11:30 am- we went to the bedroom for a change and a rest break. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet and had a small soft bowel movement. As we were cleaning, she had a large formed bowel movement. Cleaned thoroughly, put a new diaper on and turn Maureen on her right side for an hour. She and Tom had a nice chat snd nap together.

  • 1:15 pm- The rest break is over. The diaper is light wet . We cleaned and changed . Transferred Maureen to the chair and headed to the kitchen.

  • 1:30 pm- Lunch time. Maureen had a ham and cheese sandwich with half of fresh tomato and enjoyed a bottle of coconut water. She loved the rice pudding for dessert. Maureen coughed four times during lunch.

  • 2:15 pm- Oral care.

  • 3:25 pm, we went to the bedroom for a change. After using the Hoyer lift to transfer to the bed, we found her diaper to be medium wet, Maya performed the usual change technique with my minor assistance, got Maureen redressed and out to the front room.

  • 3:50 pm, sitting in the recliner, it is fruit snack time, Maya had prepared an array of fruits for Maureen to enjoy at her leisure.

Friday Feb.13th Daytime Summary

-9:30am Maureen is awake. Put her in a upright position to give her 75mcg of Levothyroxine w/applesauce. Drank 6oz of prune juice. Maureen gave a few good coughs & Tom suctioned her. -9:50am Morning
