Sunday March 13, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is asleep. She is lying on her left side. We will let her sleep in and begin our day as soon as she wakes up.

• 8:53am Our day begins. Filed Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. There were no areas of redness anywhere on Maureen’s skin. Diaper is heavily wet and Maureen had a formed, small bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied no sting barrier film, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We finished dressing and transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:13am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by half thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:30am Breakfast - banana, ham tomato cheese omelet, bacon, 4 oz prune juice, cup of water.

• 9:48am 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:52am Oral care.

• 9:55am Morning facial routine.

• Our morning started off slow. Maureen was lethargic early in the morning but perked up midway through breakfast. She coughed 2 times. Low moan/groan started during oral care and persisted until we went to the front room.

• 10:10am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner, watching the pilot episode of Survivor.

• 11:20am Deacon Andy is here to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side for one hour starting at 11:42am.

• 12:45pm Rest period #1 is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a large, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:07pm Lunch - half turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, broccoli, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:35pm Oral care.

• The afternoon went well. Maureen was full of energy and talkative. She coughed 3 times during lunch. Tommy visited with Maureen for about 30 minutes.

• 2:23pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Maureen’s diaper is lightly wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:32pm.

• 4:00pm We gave Maureen a little extra time since she was sleeping on and off during rest period #2. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 5:40pm we headed to the kitchen for dinner.

• 5:50pm Dinner - organic cheddar broccoli stuffed chicken breast with a cup of water. Maureen coughed four times.

• 6:15pm Administered 5mg OLANZAPINE with pudding and 7.5mL VIMPAT.

• 6:24pm Nighttime facial routine. Vicks applied to throat and chest.

• 6:40pm Bedtime. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Diaper is lightly wet - we cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, and put on a new diaper. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.
