8:00AM - Maureen was sleeping on her left side when I came in. Tom said that she had mild episode around 5:30am that lasted for 10mins.
Here is a synopsis of the event …
5:00am - Joanna left, I grabbed the monitor, checked Maureen, she appeared to be asleep, so I went upstairs.
5:30am - I could see that she was moving around a bit, no noise or talking
5:34am I heard her making the clicking sound, I rushed to her and saw that her eyes were wide, barely blinking. I started talking to her calmly, as I put the pulse oximeter on her finger.
The readings are as follows …
5:35 - Oxygen was at 95
Pulse was at 125
5:40 - Oxygen was at 96
Pulse was at 118, calming down
already
5:45 - Oxygen was at 95
Pulse was at 95
5:50 - Maureen was receptive to taking
sips of water, via the swab.
Her oxygen was at 94 and her
pulse was at 80
No LORAZAPAM was administered at this time, I felt she was at a calming level within reason.
8:35AM - Maureen already awake and ready to start her day. We washed Maureen's upper body with warmed purple wipes. Very light redness both under her breasts, applied light coat of Nystatin. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed using 3M products. Headed to the kitchen for breakfast.
9:05AM - Nebulizer prior to breakfast. 1st - Saline Solution then Albuterol. Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce after.
9:30AM - Breakfast was omelette (ham, onions, tomatoes & cheese), banana, 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax, 1 cup of water squeezed with lemon.
Maureen enjoyed breakfast. Had 2 coughs, one was a red faced and Maureen coughed up the phlegm.
9:55AM - Administered the rest of the meds - Lisinopril and Loratadine with applesauce, 20ml of Robafen.
10:15AM - Oral care.
10:20AM - Reclined geri chair for Maureen's comfort. Facial and hand care. Maureen's energy level going down at this moment. Snoozing already while facial care performed.
Maureen in good posture while sitting on her geri chair. Sitting up straight with 2 green wedge pillows on her left side.
11:08AM - Maureen enjoyed the half a cup of her smoothie while waiting for Deacon Andy to arrive. Coughed once.
11:50AM - Deacon Andy arrived and started the Sunday service.
12:05PM - Headed Maureen to the bedroom for her Rest Break #1. Diaper was heavy wet. Cleaned and changed with Aloe Vesta, applied Cavilon cream. Noticed the redness is gone on sacrum part. Rest break starts at 12:15PM.
1:10 - Rest Break #1 ended. We decided to shorten it to get back on the track with the schedule. Diaper was dry. Headed to the kitchen for lunch.
1:20PM - Lunch was chicken salad and brussel sprouts, 12oz coconut water, and Maureen's 2nd cup of lemon water.
1:55PM - Oral care.
We decided to do nebulizer with Maureen after her 2nd Rest Break. Roberta will be coming at 3pm.
2:10PM - Wheeled Maureen to the bedroom for her Rest Break #2. Diaper was heavy wet with large formed bowel movement. Cleaned and changed using Aloe Vesta, applied Cavilon cream. Sacrum part looking good, no redness on area. Rest break starts @2:25PM.
2:56PM - Roberta arrive to perform Reiki, Reflexology and Acupressure with Maureen.
Shortened Rest Break #2 ends @3pm. Diaper heavy wet with large formed bowel movement. Performed clean and change using Aloe Vesta, applied Cavilon cream on diaper area. No redness on sacrum area.
3:15PM - Headed Maureen to the front room so Roberta can start her procedure. Tom started the nebulizer as well @3:25pm, first with Saline Sol'n then the Albuterol.
4:00PM - Fruit snack. Maureen coughed once and able to cough up phlegm. Roberta doing her procedure with Maureen at the same time.
4:50PM - Maureen taking a nap as of this moment on her recliner.
5:35PM - Administered 20ml Robafen.
5:45PM - Headed Maureen to the bedroom for a clean and change. Diaper was heavy wet. Cleaned and changed with Aloe Vesta, applied Cavilon cream. Moved to the kitchen for dinner.
6:10PM - Dinner - wingstop boneless chicken wings with bbq sauce, french fries, a cup of lemon water (3rd one). Maureen already sleepy but was able to finish her food.
6:50PM - Administered 12.5ml Vimpat and Olanzapine with applesauce.
7:05PM - Evening oral care.
7:15PM - Washed Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta, applied Cetaphil cream, Vick's on her back and chest.
7:30PM - We headed Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper is medium wet. Cleaned and changed with 3M products. Positioned on the right side with pillow in between legs & 2 wedges behind her.
T - 98.6
O2 - 96% P - 70
7:45PM - Maureen is asleep.
