Sunday, February 9 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 8:15 am- Maureen is calmly waking up.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is awake now. We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was dry. Tom and I changed it. There was some light yellowish , thick vaginal discharge. No odor . There was still a visible red mark on her sacrum. We cleaned Maureen, applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. Next we washed her upper body. No redness observed there. Dressed and transferred her to the kitchen.

  • 8:50 am- Breakfast- omelette, 8 oz of prune juice with 1 cup of Miralax. Maureen coughed three times. Suction machine was used to help her.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1 cup.

  • 9:30 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with apple sauce. We reclined Maureen’s chair after.

  • 9:40 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:45 am- Facial routine.

  • 11:00 am - Maureen finished a full cup of water, about 12 oz.

  • 11:15 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was heavy wet and she had a large loose bowel movement . There was a lot of thick vaginal discharge. We cleaned her thoroughly and changed. The red mark on her sacrum area is still there, no tear on the skin. We positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:30 am.

  • 12:30 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:40 pm - Lunch- beef stew soup , Raising Cane’s chicken fingers, full cup of coconut water- 12 oz. Maureen had a good time having lunch with Tom and Tommy. She coughed twice.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Her diaper was heavy wet. She did have a lot of vaginal discharge again. We cleaned and changed her. She will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:05 pm.

  • 3:05 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was dry. We dressed her and headed to the living room. Transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 3:15 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 4:00 pm - Fred fruit snack- watermelon, apple and banana. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 5:00 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

  • 5:05 pm- Dinner- Turkey meatloaf, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, asparagus, cup of water. Maureen coughed twice. She had a half of cup of water.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:00 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:20 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was medium wet and she had a medium loose bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. We cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen had about 38 oz of liquids today.
