Saturday March 21 Daytime update

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is awake, Tom is giving her some water sips via swab . He said that Maureen was up between 5 and 6, went back to sleep again until 9 am.

  • 9:50am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with pear puree. Maureen had 6 oz of lemon water.

    Albuterol nebulizer treatment followed.

  • 10:05 am- We started getting Maureen ready for the day. Her diaper was medium wet with a medium cloudy odorless vaginal discharge. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Sureprep barrier film and Cavilon cream. Washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 10:30 am - Breakfast- omelette, 8 oz of prune juice, 2 oz of coffee. Maureen coughed three times.

  • 11:15 am- Morning oral care.

    Facial and hand care routine followed.

  • 11:30 am- Administered 20 ml of Geri- Tussin with pear puree.

  • 11:35 am- Maureen is resting, listening to music.

  • 12:00 am- Maureen had 10 oz of sparkling water.

  • 1:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and grapes. Two coughs.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her rest break. Diaper was heavy wet and she had a few bloody spots. We cleaned and changed her. Positioned her on her right side.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen’s rest break is over. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 3:45 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of coconut water.

  • 4:15 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 4:30 pm- Dinner- tuna salad, pasta salad , pasta salad, 10 oz of sparkling water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 5:10 pm- Administered 20 ml of Geri- Tussin .

  • 5:30 pm- Maureen had 5 oz of lemon water.

  • 5:40 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with pear puree.

  • 5:45 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Applied Cavilon cream. Wiped her face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands and legs. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen ate very well, gave us a smile, responded to a few of our questions. Didn’t show any signs of distress or discomfort. She consumed 51 oz of liquids today.
