Sunday, February 6, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake and chatty. She has been awake since 4:30am.

• 8:30am Our morning begins. Washed the inner folds of Maureen’s skin using Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. No redness observed. Filed both of Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. Diaper is medium wet and Maureen had a small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied no sting barrier film to the former pressure sore area, Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, and put on a new diaper. We got dressed and transferred Maureen to the geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 8:55am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by half a thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:00am Breakfast - sliced banana, ham, tomato cheese omelet, sausages, 4 oz prune juice, and a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed once.

• 9:32am 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:35am Oral care.

• 9:42am Facial routine.

• 10:15am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recline, watching mass on tv.

• 10:50am Deacon Andy came to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:10am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is turned to her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and pillow in between her legs. She will rest in bed for one hour starting at 11:20am.

• 12:30pm Rest period #1 is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a medium, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:48pm Lunch - lentil soup, half turkey sandwich, sliced tomato, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen coughed twice.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• 1:45pm Barb is here for a visit.

• 2:30pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and a pillow in between her legs. She will lie in bed for one hour starting at 2:45pm.

• 3:45pm Rest period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper is dry. We got dressed, transferred Maureen to the day chair using the Hoyer lift, and headed to the front room.

• 4:00pm. Fruit snack.
