Sunday February 20, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake. She is talkative and engaged.

• 8:30am Our day begins. Filed both of Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. Washed the inner folds of Maureen’s skin. We saw no redness. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned, applied no sting barrier film followed by the Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:06am Spoonful Manuka honey and administered half thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:30am Breakfast - banana, corned beef and Swiss cheese omelet, air fried bacon with 4 oz prune juice and cup of water.

• 9:53am Administered 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 10:00am Oral care.

• 10:10am Facial routine.

• 10:20am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner, watching mass on tv.

• 10:45am We trimmed and filed Maureen’s fingernails.

• 11:15am Deacon Andy visited to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs. Rest break starts at 11:45am.

• 12:45am Rest break #1 ends. Diaper is medium wet and Maureen had a small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and we headed to the kitchen.

• 1:10pm Lunch - Lentil soup, half ham sandwich, garlic green beans, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:35pm Oral care.

• 2:30pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white pillow in between her legs. She will rest in bed for one hour starting at 2:40pm.

• 3:40pm Rest break #2 is over. Diaper is dry. We headed to the front room after. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 3:55pm Fruit snack.
