Sunday, February 2 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping. She is laying on her left side.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep. She looks calm, doesn’t move, no signs of distress.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 9:10 am- Maureen is awake, but looks sleepy. Will give her a few more minutes. Tom is giving her some water via swab.

  • 9:15 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:20 am- Maureen looks ready to start the day. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. There was a lot of thick and clear vaginal discharge. We applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. Then we washed Maureen’s upper body. No redness observed. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.

  • 9:35 am- Breakfast- omelette, 8 oz of prune juice, a quarter of pear. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 10:00 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with apple sauce.

  • 10:15 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.

  • 10:30 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:35 am- Facial routine.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen is sitting comfortably in the chair, almost finishing an 8 oz cup of water.

  • 11:30 am - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet and she had a lot of clear vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- chicken noodle soup, half of a turkey and melted cheese sandwich, 8 oz cup of sparkling water. Maureen coughed twice. We reclined the chair after lunch.

  • 1:25 pm- Oral care.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned Maureen on her left side and 2:10 pm.

  • 3:10 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Her diaper was medium wet. We changed and cleaned. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s relaxing treatment.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed three times. She is having a 8 oz cup of coconut water.

  • 5:00 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry .

  • 5:05 pm- Dinner- Chicken parmigiana, cup of water . Maureen coughed four times.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:05 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:25 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was dry . Abdominal massage didn’t seem to help. Cleaned Maureen’s face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet.

9:30 am - Maureen is sleeping. She was awake about an hour ago, got some sips of water and then went back to sleep. 10:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping. 10:10 am- Maureen is awake. 10:20 am-We raised
